Arm Reduction Surgery

This operation is used to reduce underarm "bat wings" and is very good at removing them however a scar on the back of the arm is produced that extends from the top of the arm down to the elbow. The quality of the scar depends on how the patient's tissues heal which is an individual characteristic. Most scars are satisfactory though can take a year to mature however there is always the chance that the scar could become raised and red.

Liposuction is best for those with elastic skin, whereas this is not usually an option for those who have lost weight.
